    Description

    This guaranteed original Judge magazine cover print is from the May 28, 1904 edition (although it is copyrighted 1903) and measures approx. 10 1/4" by 13 3/4".  The artist's name, Halrymple, appears in the bottom left corner.  Depicted are NY's Sen. Hill, Cleveland, Olney, Bailey and Gorman dressing up a tatttered bum (Free Trade, Dem. Party, States Rights, Populism, Free Silver etc.) with a Quality hat and overcoat.  It is captioned THE NEW MAKE-UP and below is a mocking quote by Republican Sen. Chauncey Depew on how the unnamed candidate for the Democratic Party is "Qualities".  The print has some minor material loss and small edge tears around its border, but these can easily be cropped or matted out.  The reverse side has a cartoon and comments.
